THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Covid review meeting chaired by the chief minister will be held today. The meeting will discuss on allowing further concessions in the wake of the decreasing Covid spread in the state. The Sunday restrictions are also likely to be withdrawn. The list categorizing districts as per the current restrictions might also be changed.

The government had informed the high court that there is no restriction for the functioning of theatres as currently, there are no districts included in the C category. The Film Exhibitors United Organization of Kerala (FEUOK) had earlier approached the high court against the government’s order to close theatres in the C-category districts. The plea alleged that only theatres are given such restrictions, while bars and restaurants are allowed to function. The court had directed the government to file an affidavit including its reply to the association’s plea.
