THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The police released the sketch of the person suspected to be that of the accused in the Ambalamukku murder case. His sketch was made based on the visuals of a man covering his face and walking on Ambalamukku-Kuravonkonam road on the day of the incident in a suspicious manner. A witness had also testified that he had a wound in his hand.
Vineetha, an employee of Tabs Greentech Agri Clinic in Ambalanagar was murdered on Sunday. She was lying lifeless on a narrow path on the left side of the nursery. Her gold chain was found stolen but cash of Rs 25,000, collection money of the nursery, was in her handbag.
Although the plant nursery is located in a residential area, the police have not received any crucial information about the case from the locals in the last few days. Although there are no CCTV cameras in the area, the police have collected all the available camera footages nearby. The sketch of the accused was released based on the clues obtained from it.
Police suspect that someone who knows that she will come to water the plants on Sunday is likely to be behind the crime. The cause of death was the deep wound about five inches in size in her neck. The police have collected all the phone call details of Vineetha, the shop owner and the employees.
