LUCKNOW: The BJP have released the manifesto for the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. The manifesto promises to provide at least one government job for every family and free electricity for farmers' irrigation needs. If convicted, will face up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to Rs 1 lakh for love jihad. The manifesto was unveiled in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at a function in Lucknow.

The manifesto was originally scheduled to be released on February 10. However, the function was postponed due to the death of singer Lata Mangeshkar. The manifesto also promises to provide one free gas cylinders to women for Holi and Diwali, free travel for women on public transport and free two-wheelers for college students. The manifesto also promises to double the state's per capita income, attract investment of Rs 10 lakh crore and increase widow's pension from Rs 800 to Rs 1,500.
