NEW DELHI: China's claim that its PLA soldiers had hoisted their national flag in the Galwan valley in Ladakh on new year day was found to be false. The Chinese soldiers hoisted the flag not on the spot where the Indian-Chinese troops had clashed, but on an area 1.2 kms away from the Indian side.
It was a person called Damien Simon who shared this information on Twitter. He got this information through an open source intelligence system. The flag was hoisted at China's new military post which is 1.2 kms away from the Indian territory.
