THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The technical procedures for the implementation of the unique thandaper will be completed by April. The unique thandeper system will be inaugurated in May as part of the government's 100-day program. With this, Kerala will be the first state to implement the unique title. Arrangements for this are being made by the Palakkad unit of the National Informatics Center at 1666 Village Offices. Fingerprint devices for collecting fingerprints will be set up at all Village Offices.

The main feature of this system is that all the land owned by a person will come under one thandaper. This thandaper will be linked with Aadhaar. Land related information and tax receipt can be stored in Digilocker. Benefits from the central government, including agricultural subsidies, can also be availed through the unique thandaper. This system will help the authorities to find the surplus land accurately. This means that property acquisition through benami transactions will not take place. An individual can hold a maximum of 7.5 acres of land. A family of two to five members can own a maximum of 15 acres. After the transfer of the property, the purchaser can take full ownership of the property by paying the tax at the village office. This thandaper will be linked with Aadhaar.

Linking with Aadhaar
One can link with Aadhaar by entering property details and Aadhaar numbers in the new menu set up on the Revenue Department's portal. Registration can be done by uploading the OTP received on the mobile phone.
