NEW DELHI: Even though there has been a decrease in Covid cases in the country, Covid deaths continues to remain a matter of concern. There has been a six percent decrease in the country's daily Covid cases, in the last 24 hours. 67,084 cases and 1241 deaths were reported. This is the highest recorded deaths in the last eight days.

As per the daily Covid case data, one-third of the total cases are reported in Kerala. The state reported 23,253 new cases yesterday. Maharashtra and Karnataka stands second and third with 7142 and 5339 cases, respectively. The union health ministry reported that the country has reported a total of 4.24 crore cases, as of now. 5,06,520 deaths were also recorded.

There has been an increase in the Covid recovery rate in the country. The current recovery rate is 96.65 percent. 1,67,882 people have recovered.. 46,44,382 vaccine doses have been administered in the country, in the last 24 hours. With this, a total of 1,71,28,19.947 vaccine doses have been distributed in the country, said the union health ministry.
