PALAKKAD: Babu (23) of Cherayi, who was trapped in the steep hill and rescued by the Indian Army, has been discharged from the Palakkad district hospital. The authorities of the hospital said he is healthy and his treatment is complete. Babu while leaving the hospital told media that he is fine and has no other problems, see you later.’

He said that he was not afraid when got trapped in the hill. Did not fall down from the cleft. I was afraid of falling asleep and hoped someone would save me. He said that he likes to travel a lot.

Babu and two of his friends climbed the hill on Monday. When two of his friends returned halfway as it was very steep, Babu scaled up. He slipped while coming down and fell into the cleft.

He himself informed about being trapped to his friends and the police. The Indian army rescued him on Wednesday morning after 46 hours. He was later admitted to the Palakkad district hospital.
