THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP state president K Surendran on Friday responded to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's controversial remarks. He said Yogi criticized the state government and not Kerala.

Uttar Pradesh chief minister criticized the Kerala government. It immediately turned as if criticising Kerala. Can’t anybody criticize the Kerala government. Shouldn't the wrongdoings of the Kerala government be criticized?

Can’t other party’s leader pinpoint the misery of the people that ensued due to the wrong actions of the Kerala Government? Can't Yogi point out that terrorism is growing in Kerala?

The highest ISIS recruitment in India is seen in Kerala. Four terrorists from Kerala were arrested in Uttar Pradesh in the last one year. Is it possible not to talk about a government that helps them? This chief minister had once said that bodies are floating in Ganga. From where did he get it? Nobody had such a feeling then, said Surendran.

If talked about Kerala government or the failure of governance in Kerala, how is it anti-Kerala, asked Surendran. We say Uttar Pradesh when criticising the UP Government, we say Karnataka when criticising the Karnataka Government. Some say criticised Kerala, nobody has criticised Kerala, he said. The Uttar Pradesh chief minister said that UP would be like Kerala if not voted carefully.
