THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: An amount of Rs 772.38 crores has not been spent out of the amount disbursed to the Chief Minister's Disaster Relief Fund for flood damage. The report about this money comes at a time when it is alleged that a lot of flood-affected people have not received any financial assistance from the authorities.
The CM's relief fund received Rs 4912.45 crore following the call of the government to help the people who were devastated by the catastrophic floods of 2018 and 2019. Out of this 4912.45 crore, 4140.07 crores has been spent so far. The government at the time had explained that Kerala needed at least Rs 31,000 crore to recover from the floods.
