KOCHI: The police have registered a POCSO case against Roy Vayalat, No. 18 hotel owner, for raping a minor girl. Roy’s close friends Saiju Thankachan and Anjali were also named co-accused in the case.

The girl who lodged the complaint has revealed that it was Anjali who had brought her to Kochi and that she was involved in the rape. Anjali owns a marketing company in Kozhikode. The girl and her mother were brought to Kochi under the pretext of offering them a job in the fashion field.

In last October, both of them were accommodated in a hotel in Kundunnur and were later shifted to No. 18 hotel in Saiju’s car, at night. It was Anjali who had forced them to move to the hotel. Later, Roy Vayalat came to the room and sexually assaulted the girl.

The visuals of the assault were recorded on phone by Anjali and Saiju. The girl said in her statement that Anjali had threatened to share the video on social media if she lodged a complaint with the police. The girls who worked in Anjali’s marketing firm were intoxicated and regularly raped here.

As soon as the girl filed a complaint, several others with similar experiences have come to the forefront complaining against them. Most of the complainants were brought to Kochi under false job promises. The car accident of the models in Kochi, took place a week after the incident.

In her statement to the police, the girl said that she came to know about Anjali’s involvement in the case as her name was brought up in the media. Anjali is a person who uses a lot of drugs. She has told many people that those were BP pills. In addition to drug trafficking, Anjali is also an expert in trafficking girls as well.
