THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister Sivankutty informed that the schools in the state will be reopened on Monday. Classes for standard 1 to 9 will be till noon. Minister also said that the schools will function as per the earlier guidelines.

The meeting with the teachers' unions will be held on Tuesday. The minister said the time extension of classes would be decided only after further discussions. The Education Minister will meet top officials of the Education Department on Sunday. Under the current system, classes will be held in batches until noon, with only half the children attending the class. The minister said that the plan was to strengthen online classes.
