KOCHI: A new turning point has surfaced in the incident where a cleaning worker was killed in a car accident in Kaloor. CCTV footage showed girls in school uniforms being dropped off by the accused. Police also found that the minor girls had been sexually abused after intoxicating them with drugs. Following this, a POCSO case has been filed against the youths. The information about the sexual exploitation came out after the girls were questioned. The arrested are Jeethu (28) from Eroor and Sony Sebastian (25) from Tripunithura.

A cleaning worker was killed by a speeding car in Kaloor on Thursday night. The car, which did not stop after the accident, then crashed into two other autorickshaws. The locals then stopped the car and handed over the accused to the North police. Two girls in uniform were in the car at the time of the accident. But after the accident, they escaped from the car. When the North police took the car into custody and searched it, they found intoxicants including the MDMA and ganja beedi. Based on their statements, a POCSO case was registered against the two youths.

MDMA and LSD were used in the home of one of the girls. Excise has also started an investigation against the accused for possessing drugs. It is also being investigated whether more children have been sexually abused by the accused.
