NEW DELHI: BJP leader Assam CM Himanta Biswa continued his verbal attacks on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. He called Rahul Gandhi as "modern-day Jinnah". Rahul Gandhi's language is similar to that of Jinnah before 1947. In a way, Rahul Gandhi is modern-day Jinnah, said Biswa.

The day before, Himanta had come out against Rahul Gandhi. According to Himanta, Rahul, who is seeking evidence for the surgical strike, was not asked to prove that he is Rajiv Gandhi's son. Our jawans prepared for a month, before attacking enemy territory. These are all strategic moves. We came to know about it when they released a press release after the mission. Himanta Sharma said that if anyone asked for evidence then, think of the grief that would befall the soldiers.

The Congress, the opposition party in Assam, staged a public protest against Himanta's statement on Friday.
