KASARGOD: One of the BJP activists engaged in a drunken brawl at Kudlu in Kasargod was stabbed. The injured has been identified as Prasanth. The police have taken Mahesh into custody in connection with the incident. His arrest will be registered after detailed interrogation.

A verbal dispute following consumption of liquor ended in the stabbing. The doctors said Prashant was stabbed to a depth of 10 cm. The authorities said he was out of danger.

Prashant and Mahesh are accused in the murder case of SDPI activist Zainul Abid in 2013. Prashant is accused in other 15 cases. The Kerala Police had imposed KAPA on him. It was withdrawn four months ago. Mahesh is also accused in several criminal cases.
