KOCHI: Anjali Reema Dev, the third accused in the case, alleged that the complaint of sexually abusing a minor girl at Hotel No 18 in Fort Kochi, is fabricated. Anjali in a video shared on social media said that she was trapped in the case and the complaint is fake.

‘I knew where the accusations against me could reach. I'm sure that I have not done anything wrong. This woman who lends money for heavy interest and her associates played with my life to keep many of their things from coming out. Many celebrities have fallen into their trap. Even those at the top of the society had fallen into their trap. All these allegations were fabricated against me for fear that I would reveal everything. They give cash to people and try to register case against me. I knew all this and stood firm to prove my innocence. I knew I would be falsely accused. They destroyed the fame achieved through hard work. I owe money to many and have all the accounts of it. I’ve pledged two documents of the land which is in my name.

‘I borrowed money for a heavy interest from this woman to maintain my business. Let any girl in my office say that Anjali has taken them in that way. I have all the staff and clients list in my office. Even when my business was down, have not gone that way. I'm being portrayed very badly. They have threatened me saying that they will level allegations against their own daughter. They say that I am a big drug dealer, one involving men in honey trap, has black money and money laundering. I have a clear idea of who is behind all this and are doing all this so as not to reveal it. I will bring them to light,’ she said in the video.

A mother and daughter from Kozhikode lodged a sexual abuse complaint against Roy Vayalat, owner of Hotel No 18. Anjali is the third accused in a case registered at the Fort Kochi police station. Roy's friend Saiju Thankachan is also accused in the case. The complaint said a few weeks before the model's death she was sexually abused. The complaint said Anjali threatened to release the footages of the sexual abuse if lodged a complaint.
