KANNUR: One person was killed after a bomb exploded at Thottada in Kannur. The 26-year-old youth has been identified as Jishnu of Eachur in Kannur. Hemant and Aravid who sustained injuries in the explosion have been admitted at the hospital. The incident happened Sunday afternoon at 2 pm.

The incident happened near a marriage house in Thottada. A verbal dispute broke out during a music programme held in the marriage house last night. This was solved by the intervention of the locals. The marriage was held at the bride’s residence in Chalad. The bomb exploded when the bride and the groom was coming after the marriage.

Another bomb which did not blast was recovered from the spot. Initial reports said the youth, who was one in the group that came to attack with the bomb, was killed. It is alleged that the group came with the bomb as a revenge for the dispute that broke out Saturday night. However, there is no confirmation for it.
