MALAPPURAM: The body of a missing newlywed bride was found in a river. The deceased Arya (26), a resident of Malappuram, left her home on a scooter at around 4 pm yesterday and went missing later. Following a search by Arya's relatives, her scooter and shoes were found on the banks of the Kadalundi river.

The search for Arya began overnight near the river but nothing turned up. Later in the afternoon, the body was found in the river near the Thottakadavu region. The marriage of Arya and Saswath, a native of Kakkod, took place last Monday. She arrived at her home yesterday. Arya's body was shifted to Kozhikode Medical College.
