THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Schools across the state reopened after the transmission of Covid decreased. Children entered classes after their temperature was checked and given sanitisers. Classes up to nine will be held in batches for a week till noon from today. Classes 10,11,12 will be conducted in the same manner as before.
After 22 months, classes from one to 12 will be full time from February 21.
Classes 10, 11 and 12 are presently functioning full time. All Saturdays except public holidays will be working as portions have to be completed. There will be annual exams from class one to nine. The model exams of SSLC, higher secondary, vocational higher second will begin on March 16 itself.
As crèche and kindergartens are opening today, pre-primary classes can also function. Classes can be conducted with 50% of children every day from Monday to Friday. The minister said this order is applicable to all schools including Kendriya Vidyalayas.
