KOZHIKODE: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is questioning Muslim League leader and former MLA K M Shaji in the plus two bribery case. He is being interrogated for a second time in this case.

The complaint is that he accepted a bribe of Rs 25 lakh in 2014 to allot a plus two batch in Azhikode school. The Vigilance FIR stated that this was clear in the preliminary investigation. The FIR states that this is clear by examining the school's income and expenditure figures and testimonies. However, Shaji's initial stand was that the allegations were baseless and politically motivated.

The ED officials said that Shaji was called to gather more information. Vigilance had earlier questioned Shaji in the case of illegal acquisition of property.
