KOCHI: Police said there are strong evidences against Anjali and Roy Vayalat in connection with the sexual abuse complaint at Hotel No 18. This was informed by Kochi DCP V U Kuriakose. Though other evidences have been obtained in the case, no one has filed a complaint. The officer said they will approach the court as Roy has not appeared before them.

The DCP said the investigation is progressing well and there has been no lapse. Two have lodged complaints in connection with this case and their statements have been recorded. Evidence including scientific proofs against Roy and his accomplice Anjali were gathered by examining many things including the CCTV footages.

Police said they would not oppose the relatives’ demand for a CBI probe in the death of the models. The relatives of Ancy Kabeer levelled allegations after the details of the POCSO case against hotelier Roy surfaced.

A mother and daughter from Kozhikode complained that hotel owner Roy J Vayalat sexually abused them at Hotel No 18 in October last. Roy's friend Saiju Thankachan and his friend Anjali have been made parties in the case registered at the Fort Kochi police station.

The complaint alleged that the incident happened a few weeks before the models' accidental death. The rape scenes were recorded on mobile phone by the other accused. The complaint said that Anjali threatened to circulate the video on social media if lodged a complaint with the police.

Meantime, the charge sheet in the accidental death of the models will be filed this week. Roy J Vayalat, owner of Fort Kochi No 18 hotel and Saiju Thankachan are among the eight in the list of accused in the case.
