THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Rajendran, a native of Thovala in Tamil Nadu and accused in the murder case of a woman employee of a plant nursery in Ambalamukku, was brought to the shop and then taken to the pond side in Muttada where he abandoned the blood stained shirt and the knife used for the murder. He was brought there to collect evidence.

When Rajendran was brought near the shop at Ambalamukku in the afternoon, the locals hurled abuses at him and tried to manhandle him. The police had a hard time removing him from there. Nobody protested when he was taken to the pond side in Muttada. The blood-stained shirt was found from here. However, the knife could not be found.
