NILAMBUR: A one-and-a-half-year-old girl accidentally drowned in a bucket full of water. Isha, daughter of Thariyakodan Irshad, died in Pathippara division of Nilambur municipality. The incident took place around 1.30 pm on Monday.

When the child went missing in the afternoon, the family and neighbors searched for about half an hour. Meanwhile, the baby was found lying in a bucket of water in nearby house. The baby was rushed to the Nilambur district hospital but could not be saved. Her father is abroad. Isha's mother is Ansila. Brother Muhammad Ryan.
