KOZHIKODE: Three persons were killed when a tipper lorry and a traveller collided at Purakkattiri in the district. 14 sustained injuries and they have been admitted at the Kozhikode Medical College Hospital. Of the injured, the condition of three is stated to be serious.

The traveller which met with the accident was carrying devotees from Karnataka. The driver of the traveller proceeding to Sabarimala and two devotees are those killed. Sivanna, Nagaraja and the driver, a native of Ernakulam are those killed.
