KOCHI: Drugs hunt in Kochi again. Eight people were arrested for selling drugs in a hotel in Kochi. A young woman was also among the arrested. 60 grams of MDMA (3-4 methylenedioxymethamphetamine) has been seized. Three vehicles owned by the accused have also been taken into excise custody.

The accused were arrested during a drug sale in a hotel room at Mamangala in Kochi. Four people who were selling drugs and four people who came to buy it were arrested. The accused namely, an Aluva native Richu Rahman, Malappuram native Muhammad Ali, Thrissur native Bipesh, Kannur native Salman have been living in a hotel in Edappally since Monday. Four people including a woman from Kollam, came to see them at three in the morning. They were arrested during an excise raid following a secret information.

Roshan, a native of Thamarassery, was arrested by the excise yesterday, with drugs worth Rs 20 lakh. MDMA and LSD (Lysergic acid diethylamide) were seized.
