THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Teacher's organisations in the state have expressed willingness to cooperate with the move to make Saturdays as working days in schools. Saturdays will be made working days only till March.

Saturdays are being made working days in the wake of the special circumstances caused by Covid. The organisations expressed their willingness to cooperate after the minister said that this matter would be added to the order. The minister also said that the government would not take any action against the teachers who criticized the order. Meanwhile, the organisations informed the minister about their dissatisfaction with the government's move not to consult the organisations on the complete reopening of schools.

Teachers will also be involved in bringing all the children into the classes. It was also decided to convene a meeting at the district level to prepare arrangements for this. The meeting also decided to complete the examinations of classes one to nine by April 10. Lessons will be completed by March 31. The minister said that the government would not force teachers to conduct online classes. Online classes will not be mandatory from February 21st. Classes for one to nine will continue until the end of March.
