THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Two persons have been remanded in police custody for stealing liquor from the outlet at Power House Road. Rahul RJ (22) and Amith (23), natives of Enikkara in Nedumangad's Karakulam, were taken into custody by the Fort police.

According to police, the duo had stolen Rs 4,000 worth of liquor in the last three days. After taking alcohol in the last two days, they used to escape without paying. The employees got suspicious and observed them when they arrived on Tuesday.

After checking the surveillance camera, the two were confirmed to have stolen from the shop. The employees have complained to the police that the youths attacked when they tried to detain them. Two litres of liquor were seized from them.
