KOCHI: The government has said that hotel owner Roy Vayalatt is not cooperating with the investigation in the case of molesting a minor girl. The accused need to be in custody for questioning. The government also told the High court that Roy Vayalatt would not be arrested until Monday in the POCSO case.

Defendants, including Roy Vayalatt, said they had more digital evidence to present. So the case was adjourned until Monday. Vayaltt has denied the prosecution's claim that he was not cooperating with the investigation.

Roy's friend Saiju Thankachan and his friend Anjali Reemadev, a native of Kozhikode, are also accused in the case registered by the Fort Kochi police. POCSO case was registered against Roy and others on a complaint filed by a mother and daughter from Kozhikode. As per the complaint, Roy molested the girl on October, 2021 in a hotel and the visuals were recorded on a mobile phone. Roy had threatened to spread the video on social media if she lodged a complaint with the police.
