MALAPPURAM: A criminal, for whom the Assam police had announced a reward of Rs 5 lakh, was caught from Nilambur in Malappuram. The police have also taken his accomplice Amir Kusmu into custody.

Asmat Ali is an accused in the case of poaching the endangered one-horned rhinoceros. He had been living with migrant labourers from other states. The Assam police have arrived in Kerala to take him.
