THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Governor Arif Mohammad Khan has finally signed the government's policy address after an hour of uncertainty. The governor signed the policy address following the government's conciliatory move.
The governor had earlier refused to sign the policy address ahead of the budget session that will begin on Friday. It was reported that the governor had put forward a condition that he will sign the policy address only if the government revokes the order to grant pension for the personal staff of ministers. Following this, the government removed KR Jyothilal from the post of the public administration department secretary. He was then replaced by Sharada Muraleedharan. The governor then signed the policy address.
