governor-

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Communist Party of India (CPI) mouthpiece has criticized the governor for delaying the signing of the policy address to be presented in the assembly on Friday. The governor was sharply criticized in the editorial published in Janayugam.

The Kerala governor’s actions are not isolated. This is the general approach adopted by the governors of all those states ruled by opposition parties. The Modi government is trying to interfere into the policies of the opposition-led governments through the governors. The Janayugam editorial also points out that these efforts have become a threat to the federal system of the country.

The governor's order banning the budget session of the state assembly is not only a violation of the constitution and parliamentary procedures but also a public declaration of war on the state government. The governor’s post is not an institution to carry out the political pettiness of the central government. These efforts need to be defeated unitedly, otherwise it will result in the collapse of the constitution, said the editorial.
