THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 6757 COVID-19 cases on Saturday. Among these, 6314 persons developed the disease through contact, including 349 cases without an identified source of infection. 44 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 50 health workers contracted the disease on Saturday.

17,086 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 75,017 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 16 deaths due to the virus on Saturday with the toll rising to 64,053.
