MUMBAI: Sanju Samson has been included in India's squad for the upcoming T20 matches against Sri Lanka. Sanju's recovery from injury paved his way to the national team. He is currently undergoing treatment at the National Cricket Academy. It is learned that Sanju, captain of the IPL team Rajasthan Royals, was also considered for the West Indies series squad. But was ruled out following the injury. Sanju was also not included in the Kerala Ranji team either.

Ravindra Jadeja, who also recovered from injury, was also included in the team.Vice-captain Jaspreet Bumra, who under rest during West Indies series, has also returned to the squad. The other pace bowlers are Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Deepak Chahar and Mohammad Siraj. Apart from them, newcomer Aavesh Khan has also been included in the team.
