THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The usage of mobile phones and electronic devices for playing music loudly in KSRTC buses has been banned. KSRTC said in its statement that the new decision was based on complaints.

Some of the passengers on the KSRTC buses had complained that some talking loudly on their mobile phones, listening to songs and speaking rudely made it difficult for other passengers. There are also complaints of video and songs being played at excessive volume inside the bus. KSRTC strives to provide a safe journey while maximizing the interests of all types of passengers. In addition, this behavior creates an unhealthy and uncomfortable travel environment inside the bus. It was in this context that KSRTC imposed the ban.
