KANNUR: CPM Kannur district secretary M V Jayarajan said the murder of Haridas was planned by the BJP-RSS group. He told the media that the BJP councillor had spoken that the CPM workers would be killed.

‘More than a group targeted Haridas. It was a brutal murder. The accused had cut off one of Haridas' legs. Ten CPM activists were killed in two years. Murder for murder is not CPM's way. The CPM has been forgiving for so long,’ Jayarajan said.

Jayarajan said the police have received accurate information about the accused. Haridas, a fisherman, was killed around 2 am today. A team who reached in two bikes are behind the incident, he said.
