THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: After two years, the schools started functioning as usual from today. 47 lakh students reached schools today. The classes will be conducted adhering to Covid norms like wearing masks, sanitizing hands and maintaining a social distance.
There will be online classes for children unable to attend classes. Uniforms and attendance are not mandatory. There will be classes for children from one to nine till March. The exams will be in April. SSLC and Plus Two classes will be over this month. Model tests will be conducted then.
Anganwadi, crèche and pre-primary sections are also available. The pre-primary section will have classes every day from Monday to Friday, covering 50 percent of the students, till noon. Meals will be distributed to all students in the school involved in the noon-meal programme.
