BENGALURU: A 19-year-old youth who fell into a rocky ledge was rescued by the police and the air force. The incident took place in Karnataka’s Nandi Hills. The youth had fallen into a 200 feet rocky gorge. He was rescued by the Indian Air Force and Chikkaballapur police by around Sunday evening.

The youth has been identified as Nishank, a 19-year-old from Delhi. He is a student at the Bengaluru Engineering College. He came to the hills alone for trekking. On his way, he accidently slipped and fell.

The video of rescuing the youth has been widely circulated in the social media. A few days before, Babu, a youth, had got trapped in the Cheradu Kurumbachi hills in Malampuzha, Palakkad. Around Rs 75 lakhs were spent for his rescue. It is following this, that another such incident was reported in the country.
