KOTTAYAM: In a dispute over sending lewd messages, a woman cop publicly beat an additional sub inspector in the station. The incident happened at the Pallikkathodu police station in Kottayam. The district police chief has ordered a departmental probe when the incident came to light.

It has been alleged that the additional SI sent lewd messages to her phone. There was a verbal dispute between the two over the issue for some days. When a dispute broke out again in the morning the other day, in a fit of rage, the woman cop thrashed him.
