Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has directed the police to find culprits behind the murder of CPI (M) activist Korambil Haridas in Punnolil ,Thalassery. CM strongly condemned the incident and said that such attempts to create riots in the state should be resisted.

'We strongly condemn the murder of CPI (M) activist Korambil Haridas in Punnolil, Thalassery . Police have been instructed to find the culprits behind the murder. The investigation is ongoing. Haridas, a fisherman, was killed when he returned from work in the morning. It is clear that this was a planned incident to destroy the peaceful atmosphere in the area. Such attempts to provoke riots in the state need to be resisted. We request everyone to co-operate and maintain a peaceful atmosphere in the area without falling into provocation. I offer my condolences ".
