TILAK MAIDAN: Former Blasters player and member of the national football team Sandesh Jhingan has removed his Instagram account following protests by Kerala Blasters fans. ATK Mohun Bagan defender Sandesh Jhingan has been accused of insulting the Blasters club after his match against KBFC. After this, the Blasters fans unfollowed Jingan's Instagram page and criticized him in harsh language. The next day Jingan posted an explanation but fans continued to unfollow the page. After this, the star's page disappeared .
Jhingan himself deactivated the page on Monday afternoon. But so far no explanation has been received from him. The account is believed to have been deactivated following a drop of about 20,000 followers.
After the match against Kerala Blasters, Jingan had mentioned that they played with girls. This was posted by ATK Mohun Bagan as a troll on their social media. This was followed by heavy protests against Jhingan for his sexist comments. The player's number 21 jersey was withdrawn by the Blasters when he left the club. Now the fans want to bring it back.
