India is famous for its tourist attractions. But if you think that Indian citizens can travel anywhere in India without restrictions, you are wrong. Red Lollipop is an international hotel located in Chennai. Located in the heart of the city, this hotel is open to foreigners only. They claim to be the only hotel in Chennai that offers special services to first time visitors to India. Admission will be allowed only after verification of passport. Permission may sometimes be granted to Indian citizens with a foreign passport. The hotel is also known as the Highlands as it is open to foreigners only.
Broadlands Hotel Chennai
The hotel came to prominence in 2010 after complaints surfaced that some Indians were not given a room. Only foreign passport holders are served here.
Sakura Ryokan Restaurant, Ahmedabad
Sakura Ryokan is a Japanese restaurant that is off-limits to Indians. The reason for banning the Indians was that the maid here was constantly harassed by Indians.
Russian Colony Koodankulam
Indians are not be allowed to enter this area, which is located close to the Kudankulam nuclear power plant. Only nuclear power plant workers can enter here.
Norbulinga Cafe, Dharamshala
There were many complaints that Indians were denied entry here and even those with distant resemblance to Indians were barred.
Free Casol Cafe, Casol
The cafe is located in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. Indians are not entertained here.
Beaches in Goa exclusively for foreigners
There are several beaches in Goa that allow only foreigners. The beach owners explained that the permit is being denied due to Indians' abusive treatment of foreigners.
Uno Inn Hotel, Bengaluru
Uno Hotel Inn at Longford Cross Road, Shantinagar, Bangalore is open to the Japanese only. A rooftop restaurant called Tepen is another specialty of the Uno Hotel. Not only Indians but also foreigners other than Japanese are not allowed to enter here.
