THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The public can inform on the details of illegally modified vehicles to Motor Vehicles Department on WhatsApp.

The public can provide information on modified vehicles that threatens road safety, makes loud noises by replacing silencers, does bike stunts and racing on public roads, and speeding and dangerous driving. Department officials will collect details of the offense and impose fines.

The modified vehicles are being seized by the Motor Vehicles department under Operation 'Silence', and seeks public information.

Action will also be taken against those who practice bike stunt and share it on social media. There are a lot of videos on YouTube that inspire such stunts. Many of these were filmed in public. They either hide the number plates of bikes and do it during off-peak hours.Stunts have also been performed on modified cars. This will also be investigated.
