THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former minister K T Jaleel came to the fore harshly criticising the Lokayukta. He alleged that Cyriac Joseph tried to save Fr Kottoor, accused in the Abhaya case and also visited the lab in Bengaluru where the narco analysis test of the accused were conducted.

Jaleel said Fr Kottoor is a relative of Cyriac Joseph. He misused his power as a judge. He should either resign or proceed with legal action against many including him. Cyriac Joseph saw the video of the narco analysis test in the lab in Bengaluru. He said Malini, the lab's additional director, had given her statement to the CBI.

Many including Fr Kottoor had sought a stay from the high court seeking an injunction restraining Malini, the 91st witness from being questioned by the CBI. Cyriac Joseph has not commented on the matter for 13 years. He should shelve his silence now. In a press meet convened at the media room of the assembly, Jaleel asked to reveal his connection with Fr Thomas Kottoor. Jaleel reiterated this to the media today following his post on Facebook the other day.
