THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The 32nd State Faculty Convention of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) was conducted on February 19, 2022 at the Trinity College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram. The event was inaugurated by Dr Rajasree M S, Vice Chancellor of APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University. Kerala Digital University Vice Chancellor Dr Saji Gopinath, Dr Ramesh Unnikrishnan, AICTE policy and planning advisor and ISTE president Dr Pratapsinh Kakasaheb Desai delivered the keynote address in the convention.

A panel discussion on the topic ‘Faculty entrepreneurship and educational technology for the knowledge economy’ was conducted by international experts namely Dr Sudesh Kumar (Universiti Sains Malaysia), Dr David Natraj (UiTM Malaysia) and online learning innovation head Mr Brian Mulligan (IT Sligo, Ireland).

Kerala Startup Mission director Riyaz Mohammed, Mr Jimmy Bentex (C&T Engineers, Founder), Deepu S Nath and Akshaya (GTech) also addressed the meeting.

The faculty awards were distributed by ISTE Chairman of Kerala Department Dr K Vijayakumar. ISTE former chairman of the Kerala Department Dr Anil B and Trinity College of Engineering Principal Dr Arun Surendran felicitated the occasion.
