NEW DELHI: Amid the escalating Russia-Ukraine tensions, the Indian embassy has advised Indian students to leave Ukraine immediately. The embassy has directed the students to return to India as soon as possible without waiting for the Universities to take a final decision on conducting online classes.

Many people have expressed concern over the confirmation of online classes in medical universities. The embassy is engaged with the respective authorities for the streamlining of education process for Indian students. The students were advised to leave Ukraine immediately, rather than wait for any official confirmation from the universities, in the interest of their safety.

This is the third time that the Indian embassy in Kyiv has issued safety instructions. In view of the uncertainties of the current situation in Ukraine, the embassy, on February 20, had directed Indian nationals, particularly students whose stay is not essential, to consider leaving temporarily. The Indian embassy had issued its first warning on February 15.
