Actor Mohanlal arrived to pay tributes to noted Malayalam actress KPAC Lalitha who passed away last night. He said that he lost his own sister. He said that he was not able to see the actress when she was sick but spoke to her via phone.

There were a lot more memories besides films. She was my own sister... The song in my mind is 'Amma Mazhakarinu Kannu Niranju' from the film Madambi. We had acted as mother and son only in a few films, but have worked together in many good films, said Mohanlal.

We have lost a unique actress, said opposition leader V D Satheesan while condoling her death. Actor Ranji Panicker said KPAC Lalitha was a versatile actress. Her death is an irreparable loss.

Actor and MP Suresh Gopi paid his tributes. ‘Condolences to the actress who presented many good roles to the Malayalees to remember forever,’ he said in a Facebook post.

KPAC Lalitha passed away at her residence in Tripunithura last night. She was undergoing treatment for quite some time for liver ailments.
