THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has submitted the figures of political killings in the Assembly on the allegations of the opposition that the law and order situation in the state is deteriorating. As per the figures, there have been six political assassinations in the state since Pinarayi government came to power in the second time. CM said out of these cases, the culprits in three of them were RSS-BJP activists, two were SDPI activists and one was a Congressman.

Chief Minister said that while 1677 murder cases were reported during the last Congress government, there were only 1516 murders reported during the last Left government and 86390 cases in violence against women were reported between 2016 and 2021. He also said that legal action has been taken against all the accused involved in cases of violence against women.

Investigation is progressing in the murder of CPM activist Haridasan. Four suspects were arrested. Culprits were also arrested in the murder case related to bombing during wedding party. Also, defendants were arrested in Kizhakkambalam Deepu murder. CM has explained that the law and order situation in Kerala is far better than other states.
