KOCHI: Mystery shrouds on the attack towards a two-and-a half-year-old girl in Thrikkakara. Antony Tijin, the baby’s aunt’s partner and accused in the case will be questioned today.

The baby’s mother told police that she has never seen Antony beating her and no one had attacked her. The baby was behaving abnormally for quite some time. She used to jump down from the window. She may have sustained injuries but she had never told us. The baby’s mother had told police that she sustained burns from the incense sticks.

Antony Tijin had yesterday said that he had not gone into hiding. The baby fell while playing and as she did not cry was not taken to the hospital. When she showed signs of epilepsy she was brought to the hospital. However, the baby’s father said Antony is addicted to drugs and it was he who attacked the baby.
