KYIV: Ukraine has intensified its retaliations. Ukraine’s military has claimed that at least 50 Russian occupiers were killed. Earlier, there were reports stating that five Russian planes and a helicopter were destroyed. When Russia asked Ukraine to lay down its arms and surrender, President Volodymyr Zelensky had warned of strong retaliatory measures. Soon after, the Ukrainian army began its counter-attacks. However, Russia has not yet commented on the causalities on its side. Russia is launching attacks from air and land routes. News agencies have reported that continuous explosions were heard in Ukraine’s capital city Kyiv.
Meanwhile, Ukraine has ended all of its diplomatic relations with Russia. President Volodymyr Zelensky has sought the support of Russian people as well. Russians have always been our good friends and hence should strongly urge Putin to end the war, he said in Russian language. Meantime, reports also suggest that a US warplane has reached Ukraine. NATO had warned Russia of severe consequences if they did not stop the invasion. However, as per the latest reports, the US warplane has landed on the Ukraine border for surveillance and data collection.
