KYIV: Russian army that attacked Ukraine has reportedly reached the capital Kyiv. According to Ukrainian official sources, at least 68 people, including soldiers and civilians, were killed. 18 people have been killed in a Russian airstrike on a military base near the port city of Odessa.
More than 100 people have been killed in a series of missile strikes on populated areas.
There has been several bomb explosions in capital city Kyiv and in other cities after Putin declared war on Ukarine. The intelligence headquarters in Ukraine was also destroyed. Putin is using ground, naval and aerospace forces for the attack.
NATO, meanwhile, has said it will not take military action against Russia. Ukraine hoped that NATO and the United States would help. At the same time, the NATO Secretary General said that NATO member countries can provide individual help. European Union (EU) has demanded Russia to end its military operation. Britain, meanwhile, has said it will provide military assistance to Ukraine. However, Putin said that if external forces help Ukraine, the attack would be more severe.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan's visit to Russia to meet Putin, has shocked other countries, including India. China is of the view that Russia's move cannot be considered as an encroachment.
