THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Delegate registration for the 26th Kerala International Film Festival(IFFK) to be held from March 18 to 25 will begin on Friday. You can register from 10 am onwards through the link provided on website www.iffk.in. The fee is Rs.1000 for general category and Rs.500 for students. Registration can be done directly through the Delegate Cell set up at the Tagore Theater, the main venue of the festival. From this year, students will also be able to register offline. After the meeting of the organizing committee, Culture Minister Saji Cherian said that a regional international film festival will be held in Kochi in April, which includes selected films from the festival.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the fair on March 18 at 6 pm at Nishagandhi Auditorium under the chairmanship of Minister Saji Cherian. About 180 films will be screened in 14 theaters. Movies of different categories will be screened and different packages are also available. Retrospective package has been included as a homage to actor Nedumudi Venu. The meeting was held at Olympia Hall, Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium Complex. Prashanth MLA presided over the function. Minister V. Shivankutty was the chief guest. Film Academy Chairman Ranjith gave the introductory speech. Artistic Director Beena Paul, Academy Secretary C. Ajoy, Principal Secretary Rani George and Academy Deputy Director H. Shaji were present.
